I would like to say I was East in 2NT for the following hand, but actually I was South defending 3NT by East after South had shown the majors. The following play thus made the difference between down 1 and down 2, but I have never seen or even read of the position before. Anyone recall seeing a similar situation?

East played 3NT after South showed majors. Small spade went to the J, club finesse lost, and a spade let me cash my spades. North discarded a diamond on the 4th spade, but look what happens to North on the last spade! A diamond or club gives East the suit, while a heart exposes my J to a finesse. I had just exposed my partner to a suicide guard squeeze!!
