Quiet Time

Late evening, quiet time sitting on the couch watching the fire
Freddy stretched out on the hearth, Inky has the lounger tonight
The kittens curled together next to me, recharging after a busy day
To see them this way one would never think that their collective nickname is Trouble!

Tommy has the little chair that used to be Kitty's favorite place
Memories form in the flames, Kitty in her little chair
Marmie curled up on the hearth rug next to Podly Bear
I remember them all, the ones who are gone

Late evening, quiet time sitting on the couch watching the fire
Surrounded by friends and memories
