Sometimes I wonder what the heck is going on around here.
From where I sit at the puter I can see Patty, three cats, two dogs, and a lizard. The snakes are in the garage. Next to me on the desk is a can of Pounce treats, something the cats will kill for. Just to kill a few moments while waiting for a response on the puter, I picked up the can of Pounce and shook it to get the cats' attention.
The cats didn't even twitch, but Patty jumped straight up and trotted toward me, ears forward, eyes bright, and a big grin on her face. She seemed disappointed when I put the Pounce back on the desk.
It hasn't been but a few days since I found a supersonic dog whistle among the stuff we were unpacking. I blew it to see if it still worked, but of course I couldn't hear it. Patty did, though. She ran in from another part of the house and asked me what that noise was.
Seems as if someone around here has been spending far too much time with the critters.
